Warranty Conditions for SwiftColor LX-D400 and SwiftColor LG-P800
1. Standard Printer Warranty
SwiftColor warrants that the printer (including the starter printhead supplied with the original printer package) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment from the authorized distributor to the end customer, subject to the terms below.
During the warranty period, SwiftColor will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective parts or units covered under warranty.
2. Printhead WarrantyThe starter printhead included with a new printer is covered under the 12-month printer warranty above.
Replacement printheads (purchased separately as service parts) are covered for:
- 15 months from shipment date from SwiftColor, or
- 50% of rated printhead life (based on lifetime counter),
whichever occurs first.
Printhead life expectancy depends on media type, coverage, operating conditions, cleaning frequency, and application.
3. Warranty ExclusionsThis warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
a) Use other than normal and intended operation
b) Misuse, accident, abuse, neglect or improper storage
c) Improper installation, maintenance, modification, adjustment or unauthorized repair
d) Failure to follow operating manuals, maintenance procedures or firmware updates
e) Products with removed, altered or illegible serial numbers
f) Damage caused by labels, inks, ribbons, media, solvents or other consumables
g) Damage caused by use of non-genuine SwiftColor consumables or non-approved third-party materials
h) Normal wear parts and consumables including but not limited to:
- maintenance cartridges
- cutters / cutter blades
- purge units
- cleaning assemblies
- rollers and feed components
i) Damage caused by contamination, improper environmental conditions, power instability, electrostatic discharge or operator error.
4. Stock Rotation / Distributor ConditionsWarranty coverage is subject to:
- FIFO (First-In-First-Out) stock rotation being observed
- Distributor being able to provide proof of shipment date to end customer (invoice or equivalent evidence)
- If a printer remains in distributor stock for more than 12 months from shipment by SwiftColor, warranty to the end customer shall remain 12 months from distributor shipment, provided FIFO compliance can be demonstrated.
Failure to comply may void warranty coverage.
5. Warranty LimitationThis warranty is exclusive and replaces all other express or implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
SwiftColor shall not be liable for:
- loss of profit
- business interruption
- loss of data
- indirect, incidental or consequential damages
Liability shall in no event exceed the purchase price of the product.
6. Warranty Claim Procedure (Printhead / Print Quality)Before a warranty claim is submitted, the following procedure must be completed:
Step 1
Perform Medium Cleaning (minimum once) using latest firmware.
Step 2
Print nozzle check pattern.
Step 3
Perform Strong Cleaning once.Print nozzle check again.Export printer log file.
Step 4
Submit the following for warranty review:
- Nozzle check before and after strong cleaning
- Printer log file
- Screenshot of head information and printer information from service utility tool
- Description of media used and operating conditions
